General Splicing Tips

  1. Before starting, it is a good idea to read through the directions so you understand the general concepts and principles of the splice.
  2. A “Fid” length equals 21 times the diameter of the rope (Ref Fid Chart).
  3. A “Pic” is the V-shaped strand pairs you see as you look down the rope.
